Truth or Dare

What is Truth or Dare?

Truth or Dare needs no introduction, but it usually needs someone to come up with the questions — and that's where most games run out of steam. Drinkup.buzz deals the cards for you.

Players take turns in the hot seat. Choose truth or dare and you get a random card, shown on everyone's phone at the same moment. Answer the question or do the dare. Don't fancy it? Then you drink.

How to play Truth or Dare online

1. One player opens drinkup.buzz, taps Create Game and shares the 4-digit room code (or the QR code).
2. Everyone joins on their own phone. No app, no sign-up — just pick a username.
3. One player at a time is in the hot seat.
4. Choose Truth or Dare.
5. A random card appears — on your screen and everyone else's.
6. Answer the truth or complete the dare. Refuse, and you drink.

Drinking rules

• One player at a time, taking turns.
• The whole room sees the card, so there's no quietly swapping it for an easier one.
• Skip a truth or a dare and you drink.

Tips

• Agree on limits before you start. Refusing is always allowed — it just costs a sip.
• Because everyone can see the card, the group gets to decide whether an answer really counted.
• Picking dare early sets the tone for the whole night.

How Drinkup.buzz works

Drinkup.buzz is a free multiplayer party game that runs in your phone's browser. One person creates a room, the rest of the group joins with the code, and every phone plays in sync. Between rounds a reel spins to pick the next game, so Truth or Dare comes up alongside 17 other games — from trivia and reflex battles to Never Have I Ever. It's best played in groups of 4–10.
