What is Never Have I Ever?

Never Have I Ever is the classic confession game: a statement is read out — “never have I ever…” — and everyone who has done it has to own up. Traditionally you put a finger down or take a sip.

Drinkup.buzz plays it on everyone's phones, with a twist. Everybody answers in secret, then all the cards flip at once, and whichever side is in the minority drinks. Being the only one who has done something costs you — but so does being the only saint in the room.

How to play Never Have I Ever online

1. One player opens drinkup.buzz, taps Create Game and shares the 4-digit room code (or the QR code).
2. Everyone joins on their own phone. No app, no sign-up — just pick a username.
3. A “Never have I ever…” statement appears on every screen at the same time.
4. Tap I HAVE or I HAVEN'T. Nobody can see your answer yet.
5. All the cards flip together, so you see exactly who has and who hasn't.
6. The smaller group drinks, and the next statement comes up.

Drinking rules

• The minority drinks — whichever answer fewer players picked.
• Answer honestly. The reveal is the whole game.

Tips

• Watch faces when the cards flip. That's where the best follow-up questions come from.
• Lying to land in the majority technically works, but it ruins the reveal for everyone.
• It's a great icebreaker for a group that doesn't know each other well yet.
